The 78 east will take you through San Marcos and Escondido, then to the San Diego Wild Animal Park and Ramona.
The 78 west will take you through northern Carlsbad and ends in Oceanside at an interchange onto the 5. The 5 north will take you to Orange County and Los Angeles. The 5 south will take you through Carlsbad, Encinitas, and ultimately to San Diego.
The 15 north will take you to Temecula, Riverside, through the desert, and on to Las Vegas.
The 15 south will take you to Escondido and ultimately to San Diego.
The 76 west will take you to Oceanside, and is convenient if you want to see Mission San Luis Rey.
The 76 east will take you through Fallbrook and to Julian.
